Alumni PrideNotes August 2014

General
From left to right in their Greensboro College t-shirts are: Kathryn Huggins Ford ’68, Judy Scoggin Peede ’68, Ann Reed Humphrey ’67, Jane Biles Page ’68, Beverly Peacock Crotts ’68 and Jean Ann Jackson Haywood ’68, enjoying a picture in Paris in front of La Tour Eiffel on Saturday, May 3, 2014.

Our class created a bond in September 1964 during the first month as freshmen at Greensboro College. Throughout the fifty years since we enrolled at GC we have remained close by spending fun times in the NC mountains and the beaches of North & South Carolina, as well as other destinations across the USA.

In March 2007 our wanderlust beckoned us to explore Italy, France and Monaco. Since that first big trip in 2007, we have enjoyed four new adventures to seven more European countries.

The unique gift of friendship which binds our class of '68 has allowed us to remain lifelong friends and now travelers on a continued path of discovery in the world and in the joy of spending time together. No doubt, that "thrill of discovery" is evident in the photo of the six of us proudly lifting the green Greensboro College pennant as we pose in our "Celebrating 175 Years" t-shirts on the Champs de Mars in front of La Tour Eiffel.

Our alma mater is the tie that binds us in love and devotion to our friendship. "To thee GC, we lift our praise..."
