Commencement exercises were held on May 11, 2013 at the  Special Events Center at the Greensboro Coliseum. Congratulations Class of 2013!!! General John M. Hemphill Jr., Marjorie B. Betty Chafin Rash 1964, Charlotte, and husband Dennis were honored as the recipients of the UNC Charlotte Distinguished Service Award.  For more information, click here.  Stephanie M. Kelly 1988, Morganton, has accepted the position as Exceptional Children Case Manager at Hallyburton Academy in Drexel, NC, managing 50+ students. Lisa B. Alley 1993, Browns Summit, received the Ann P. Lojko Staff Award for 5+ of service at the Spring Service Award Ceremony on May 3, 2013.  Lisa has worked at Greensboro College since 1995 and is currently the Director of Academic Support.  Lisa also serves on the Staff Affairs Committee and the Alumni Association Board.   Stephanie Spiller Sternbergh 2000, Greensboro, graduated with a Masters of Education in Special Education from Greensboro College on May 11, 2013. Amy Whitaker Ward 2003, Mooresville, was selected by her colleagues as the Teacher of the Year for Mooresville High School. Joan M. Roman MEd 2006, Charlotte, has been hired as the principal of the new Langtree Charter Academy that will open this fall in Mooresville.  To read more about Joan and her new position, click here. Andrew M. Bryda 2007, Salisbury, MD, is a Ticket Sales Account Executive with Delmarva Shorebirds. Jacqueline D. Cianfrani 2007, Greensboro, graduated with a Masters of Education in Special Education-Learning Disabilities from Greensboro College on May 11, 2013.   Derek T.
