Lynn Wright-Kernodle 1968, Greensboro, was honored by the North Carolina Humanities Council with an endowed scholarship in her name for NC public school educators. The scholarship honors her for her work with professional development for teachers.
April Thompson 1997, Greensboro, a Reidsville High assistant principal, was chosen as the 2014 RCS Assistant Principal of the Year. April has been an assistant principal at Reidsville High since 2012. She has 9 years in education and has served as a GEAR UP coordinator and an assistant principal in Asheboro City Schools.
Amy Whitaker Ward 2003, Mooresville, was selected as one of Lake Norman Magazine's Top Teachers of the Year. Article
Jamar M. Tyree 2011, Greensboro, performed as King Balthazar on November 22-23, 2013 in Gian Carlo Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors presented by Starmount Presbyterian Church in Greensboro.  Additional cast members include GC's Associate Chair of the Music Department and Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Jonathan Brotherton, who performed the role of King Melchior, and chorus members, Jane Case Brooks 2006 and April N. Hamilton 2006.  The production was directed and conducted by Robert W. Overman, former vocal faculty member and accompanied by Michael Parker,  former accompanist at GC.

Frances Winslow Smith 1945, Colfax, and husband, Ben, celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on October 1, 2013.
Britt Davis Griffin 1946, Cary, and husband, Tom, have moved to Waltonwood, a senior living facility in Cary.  Their two daughters live nearby while their son continues to live in Kinston.
Julie C. Daniel 1972, Baldwinsville, NY, retired last spring after a 35 year career as a speech and language pathologist, serving the last 27 years in the North Syracuse School District with preschool and special needs children.  Julie continues her work as a children's yoga teacher.  To read more about her involvement with yoga for children, visit her website: yogaforkidsofcny.com or check out their FaceBook page: Yoga for Kids of Central NY.
Rev. Eugene E. Dean Jr., 1973, McLeansville, has retired after 40 years serving as a pastor in the Western North Carolina Conference.
Kevin R. King 1973, Baldwinsville, NY, recently retired following a 25 year career serving as the program director of the Day Treatment Program for Children and Adolescents of the Onondaga County Department of Mental Health.
Lisa Bane Atkinson 1980, Mechanicsville, VA, is a real estate agent with RE/MAX Commonwealth.
Dr. Anthony J. Scotti 1987, Irmo, SC, is currently serving as Chair of Faculty Council at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC.
Danielle Anderson Tefft 1997, Greensboro, is a 3rd grade teacher in Greensboro and has 3 children, ages 9, 3, and 11 weeks.
Glenn E. Mansfield 1998, Davenport, FL, is the Area Manager for Central Florida with SLA Management.
Kristi L. Hunter 2005, Greensboro, is currently serving as the Wellness Director at the Bryan Family YMCA.
Ellen B. Creasman 2006, Winston Salem, is the Minister of Youth and Young Adults at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church in Kernersville.
Timothy P. Leyson 2008, Orlando, FL, is the Coordinator for Housing and Residence Life at the University of Central Florida.

Cindy Coleman Shockley 1971, Blacksburg, VA, has retired after teaching English for 30 1/2 years in middle and high school.
Kevin M. Green 1978, Greensboro, was recently elected to be the 2015 president of the Greensboro Realtors Association.  He is a realtor with Prudential Yost & Little Realty and was also president of GRA in 2007.  To read a little more about Kevin, click here.
Diane Swan Pohanka 1984, Alexandria, VA, was one of three who arranged and executed the plan for 25 Wounded Warriors and their families to receive a weeks vacation at Bethany Beach, Delaware.  25 homeowners offered their homes, local stores and restaurants also gave generously to these families.  Diane's mother, Jo Adair Bertken Swan 1977, is very proud of her daughter.
Bradley C. Curtis 2006, Greensboro, is an EC teacher with Guilford County Schools.
Wesley W. Gullett 2008, Greensboro, has been named the new Sports Information Director for Greensboro College.  Gullett first joined the office as a student worker in 2004 and has been the Assistant Sports Information Director for seven years.  To read more about this announcement click here.
Christian M. Palopoli MA 2009, Manassas, VA, is a High School Spanish Teacher for Prince William County Schools.
Meredith A. Kelly 2013, Snow Camp, has been named an interim admissions counselor at Greensboro College.  Meredith graduated this past May with a BS in exercise and sport studies and was the 2013 Harold H. Hutson Award recipient.  She will hold this position until beginning a doctoral studies program at Elon University in January 2014.

Chelsea D. Kiger 2013, Greensboro, has joined the GC Admissions staff as an Admissions Counselor.

Elizabeth Davis 1952, Columbia, SC, recently spent a wonderful week with Annette Inge Casey 1952 and husband, Eagle.  They took a trip through their 1948-1952 annuals.
Susan Jarvis Goldstein 1969, Saint Petersburg, FL, has been appointed the Interim Executive Director with Congregation B'nai Israel.
Phillip K. Cates 1986, Raleigh, is the Campaign Director for Convergent Nonprofit Solutions out of Raleigh.
Tica Davis Green 1994, Greensboro, has been named the new Director of Academic Success at Greensboro College.  To read more, click here.

Lynette Charles Tannis 1995, Plainfield, NJ, graduated from Harvard University with a doctorate in Urban Superintendency on May 30, 2013.  Lynette previously earned and MED from Harvard in Education Policy and Management in 2010 and a MED in Educational Administration from Kean University in 2003.  Dr. Tannis can be seen celebrating here.  She is the 7th image.
Jay Cialone 1996, Astoria, NY, is the Director of Enrollment at the Long Island Business Institute.
Jim "Spider" O'Gara 1997, Jamestown, has joined the GC music department as an adjunct faculty member for the new digital music production program that launched this fall.
Jennifer Douthat Hughes 1998, Glen Allen, VA, has joined the Short Pump office of Long & Foster ® Real Estate, Inc. in Richmond, VA.  She has completed the company's Star Builders program for newly licensed sales assocaties and holds membership in the Richmond Assocation of Realtors.    Jen will be working with homebuyers and sellers.  

Danielle Lyon O'Brient 1997, Schenectady, NY, is a Special Education Paraprofessional with Schenectady City School District in New York.
Dellany T. Peace 1998, Los Angelos, CA, is the co-creator/producer/star of a new web-series comedy "2 Hopeful Spinsters".  For more info about Dellany, click here, or read her recent article penned with her creative partner for the web-series, Heather Olt.  
Jessica L. Fox 2005, Raleigh, was recently accepted to Penn State to pursue a BA in Labor Studies and Employment Relations.
Edwin B. Arnaudin 2006, Asheville, was recently accepted into the North Carolina Film Critics Association.  His reviews appear on Ashevegas and DVD Snapshot.
Matthew R. Runyans 2007, Greensboro, is entering his 8th season as a member of the GC Pride football staff.  He's currently serving as the linebackers coach, defensive coordinator, and recruiting coordinator.  To learn more, click here.
