Kay Vass Darling 1980, Richmond, VA, graduated from the
University of Tennessee, School of Information Science with a Masters' of
Science in Information Science degree in December of 2012.
Judy Rumley Ott 1984, McLeansville, has retired from
Guilford County Schools with 29 years as an EC teacher in August 2012.
Rhonda G. Dillingham 1996, Asheboro, will serve as the
Director of Curriculum for Uwharrie Charter Academy (grades 9-12), which will
open in August 2013 in Asheboro. It will be the first charter school in
Randolph County.
Michael R. Riddick 1998, Leesburg, VA, wrote a book on
Religion and Spirituality titled "Discipline of the Secret: The Holy
Spirit as a Psychophysiological Phenomenon." Read more here.
Christy Strickland Bobbitt 2000, Clayton, is now the
Carolinas Distribution Control Center (DCC) Support Manager with Duke Energy.
Ryan W. Nelsen 2000, Altrincham, Cheshire, UK, will take on
the coaching reins for Toronto FC. Nelsen is TFC's eighth head coach in the
club's seven-year history, making his hiring extraordinary. Read more here.
Regina Hayes Alexander 2002, Greensboro, in addition to her
role as an inpatient therapist with Cone Behavioral Health Hospital, has been
selected as a spokesperson for Cone Health System in the area of
Behavioral/Mental Health. As such, she
appears on Fox 8 House Calls to speak on a variety of topics, facilitates
community presentations and writes a monthly article for Piedmont Parent
Magazine titled "Is My Kid Ok?" Regina is also on staff at her
church, Congregational UCC, as the middle school youth leader.
Laura Hussey Dawkins 2008, Biscoe, was named East Montgomery High School's Teacher of the
Year for the 2011-2012 school year. She has been teaching earth and physical
science at East since 2008.
