Sharon J. Kellam 1964, Warrensville, has published new books: a documented history about the school where she was raised and two companion picture captioned books. Jennifer Watters Arnold 1996, South Riding, Va., accepted a position as the Deputy Project Manager for the U.S. Department of the Interior's Financial and Business Management System.
James (Trey) Heffinger 1998, Kennesaw, Ga., is the lead singer of the Christian contemporary band Echoing Angels. The band's song "You Alone" was ranked No. 26 recently on the national Top Christian Album chart. Trey is married to Emily Green Heffinger 2000.
Carol Johnson Howard 2000, High Point, was honored by a nomination for the 2010 Excellence in Teaching Award recently. Faculty members at Randolph Community College are nominated by their peers for this annual award. Carol has served Randolph Community College as director for the Radiography degree program for the past seven years.
Jason Layman 2001, Rock Hill, S.C., accepted the defensive coordinator position for Myers Park High School's football team in Charlotte.
Chris Cline 2004, Greensboro, was hired as an assistant men's basketball coach under Coach Jeremy Currier at Pfeiffer University.
Andrew W. Allison 2007, Greensboro, was hired as East Forsyth High School's first head lacrosse coach.
John Hinson 2009, Greenville, recently won first place in the graduate men’s division at the 2010 Mid-Atlantic NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) Regional student auditions. The regional competition hosts selected student singers from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. John is currently pursuing a M.M. in vocal performance at East Carolina University.
